The offending article!
As you can see there is kerb damage and flaking laquer and paint.
First step was to carefully scrape off the worst of the damage.
Then its just a matter of rubbing down with ever finer grades of wet and dry,
dont forget to do the whole wheel either with scotchbrite or 800 wet and dry
to give the new paint something to key to on the non damaged areas.

Now it's time to fill in the imperfections and kerb damage. I used expoxy metal
repair putty (DO NOT USE BODY FILLER it will fly off the wheel at speed) Then
rub the filler down ready for painting.

Primer time. I used Halfords white primer, silver wheel paint and clear laquer. The colour is a little darker than stock when finished but not enough to worry about, the stock center caps wont look out of place if you dont paint those.
Then a few coats of top coat.
Then a few coats of laquer
